Here is a nice solid example of a RHD Stage One Land Rover. These were made during a short production run between the last of the classic Series III vehicles and the new "Defender" models. It has the engine and transmission of the Defender models (from the Range Rover) mounted in the Series III frame and running gear. This vehicle was imported from England in 2008 at which time we performed a thorough service on it. New parabolic springs. shackles. bushings. u-bolts. and gas shocks were installed. New brake shoes. wheel cylinders. and hub seals were installed. All fluids were replaced and a new clutch slave and master cylinder installed. The frame is solid - both front outriggers were replaced. The body is straight with the expected small dings here and there. floors and doors are in good shape. Dash has crack on top. otherwise unmolested. All glass is good. Mileage was stated as "actual" in paperwork but otherwise unknown. Has 5 matching Michelin X radials with 80% tread. This Rover has completed a couple of 250+ mile trips with no issues but used very little since its service work. It really turns heads and would be an excellent advertising media for a business. Incidently. it was painted for Postal use by the importer whom we purchased it from but has never seen such service. We welcome any questions by email . Inspections are welcomed and encouraged!
