HERE is a truly delightful are rare Rover P 2 16. the largest of the P 2 s with a fantastic 2147 cc ohv engine! This beautiful old girl is an immediate post-war production car although the model was the same as it was prior to 1939. That rakish sports saloon style of the day - which would have made it totally unaffordable to most motorists. was complemented by an abundance of leather and wood. And. in this case. the biscuit leather has been professionally re-trimmed at a cost in excess of 3 k. The wooden dash and door cappings are in stunning order as are the door cards. the head lining and the actual sporting cluster of Jaeger clocks! Interiors of this high calibre are a God-send to the next owner as re-fitting it yourself can come at a prohibitive cost. There is nothing tired about the inside of this proud old Rover - it is simply gorgeous!

Her body and paint are top class for the age of the car with only minor cosmetics to point out. In fact the "faded" look on a section of black on the front of the nearside front win is probably the worst thing on the car. So. I am being picky here. This really is an eyeful of an iconic Rover.

She starts on the button. idles beautifully and drives. Real classics of this marque such as the big 16 do not come along very often and this is a great opportunity to own a genuine piece of motoring history.
