HERE IS MY CLUBMAN VAN WHICH TOOK ME ABOUT 5 YEARS OF MY LIFE TO REBUILD FROM THE VERY LAST NUT & BOLT.   I BOUGHT IT IN ORIGINAL UNRESTORED  STANDARD CONDITION IN 2005 FROM THE OWNER WHO HAD OWNED IT FROM 8 MONTHS OLD. IT HAD BEEN STORED UNUSED IN HIS GARAGE FOR THE PREVIOUS 9 YEARS.
IN A NUTSHELL. EVERY LAST PART OF THE CAR WAS STRIPPED DOWN. CLEANED. REBUILT. REPLACED. UPGRADED. RUST PROOFED ETC ETC. LOOKED AFTER PROPERLY. SHE SHOULD LAST FOR YEARS AS PROBABLY IS IN BETTER CONDITION NOW THAN WHEN BRAND NEW.
ON STRIPPING THE CAR THE WHOLE UNDERNEATH HAD BEEN COATED WITH A GOLD COLOURED UNDERCOATING WHICH WHEN YOU PRESSED YOUR FINGERNAILS INTO IT LEFT AN IMPRINT (IT TOOK AGES TO REMOVE IT USING DEGREASING CHEMICALS BUT WHATEVER IT WAS. UNDERNEATH  THE ORIGINAL PAINT & BODY WAS STILL IN GREAT CONDITION)
I  PAINTED THE WHOLE OF THE UNDERSIDE OF THE CAR WITH 2 COATS OF BILT HAMBER ELECTROX RUST PREVENTER. BRILLIANT STUFF & A 1 LITRE TIN WEIGHS A TON !
BODYWORK WISE.  BOTH OUTER SILLS WERE ORIGINAL BUT 1 HAD  BEEN REPAIRED SO BOTH  REMOVED & STANDARD SIZE ONES REFITTED. ALL 3 PARTS OF THE REAR VALENCE WERE RUSTY SO ALL 3 REPLACED. THERE WAS A SMALL HOLE IN THE DRIVERS SIDE INNER WING WHICH WAS CUT OUT & REPAIRED. SMALL BIT OF RUST ON BOTTOM OF PASSENGER DOOR SO NEW DOORSKIN FITTED. APART FROM THAT EVERYTHING ELSE IS ORIGINAL & RUST FREE.  
THE SET OF REAR DOORS COME WITH THE CAR & ARE BRAND NEW HERITAGE DOORS WHICH HAVE NEVER BEEN FITTED. I HAVE A PAIR OF WINDOWS & THE L/H HINGES (PAINTED & READY TO FIT)  YOU WILL NEED THE WINDOW SEALS THOUGH.
ENGINE. I BOUGHT AN MG METRO ENGINE (12HD24) 1989 & IT HAS BEEN TOTALLY STRIPPED & REBUILT BY MYSELF. IT IS NOW 1293CC & THE ENGINEERING WORK WAS CARRIED OUT BY SUTTON REBORE SERVICES ( NEW CAM BEARINGS. REBORED TO PLUS 40 THOU. UNLEADED VALVESEATS FITTED. NEW STD SIZE MAIN & BIG END SHELLS. CRANKSHAFT POLISHED. NEW THRUST WASHERS) I HAVE THE RECEIPT DATED 28 MAY 2010.  THE TIMING CHAIN HAS BEEN REPLACED WITH A BELT DRIVE CONVERSION. NEW OIL PUMP. CLUTCH KIT & FLYWHEEL (BALANCED UP BY MINISPEED BYFLEET). NEW SLAVE CYLINDER & CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER REBUILT.
BRAKES. ALL BRAKE PIPES. HOSES. WHEEL CYLINDERS & REAR DRUMS NEW. MASTER CYLINDER REBUILT. GENUINE 7. 5" COOPER DISC BRAKE CONVERSION. nbsp;CALIPERS REBUILT. NEW DISCS. HANDBRAKE CABLE ETC.
SUSPENSION. ALL REBUILT. 1. 5 DEGREE LOWER ARMS. NEW OLD STOCK ORIGINAL HI LO'S KIT FITTED. NEW G MAX DAMPERS.  RADIUS ARMS OVERHAULED. NEW GENUINE MOWOG REAR SUBFRAME & FITTING KIT. FRONT SUBFRAME ORIGINAL (STRIPPED & REPAINTED). ALL NEW BUSHES EVERYWHERE)
FUEL TANK POWDERCOATED . FUEL GAUGE WORKS CORRECTLY. NEW FUEL LINES. HIF44 CARB REBUILT. K&N STD AIR FILTER ELEMENT.
ELECTRICS. HALOGEN CONVERSION. LED NUMBER PLATE LIGHT. FOG & REVERSING LIGHTS FITTED. LED INTERIOR LIGHT. ALL WIRING IN GREAT CONDITION WITH NO BODGES ANYWHERE.
INTERIOR. FRONT SEATS FROM A MINI JET BLACK & REAR SEATS RE-COVERED TO MATCH. SEAT EXTENDERS. BLACK CARPETS & MATS. UNDERLAY KIT TOO.
INSTRUMENTS. 3 CLOCK DASH FROM A MINI SPRITE. MECHANICAL OIL PRESSURE GAUGE. VOLTMETER. CLOCK (FROM A MK1 FORD GRANADA I OWNED IN THE 80'S!). ALL WORKING PERFECTLY EXCEPT THE SPEEDO READS SLOW DUE TO BEING A METRO SPEEDO DRIVE. (I HAVE THE FIGURES FOR GETTING IT RE-CALIBRATED BUT HAVE NEVER GOT ROUND TO GETTING IT DONE) 
WHEELS. GENUINE 70'S WOLFRACES. THE SPARE IS A STEEL BUT A BRAND NEW WOLFRACE RIM WITH NO TYRE IS INCLUDED. TYRES ALL HAVE PLENTY OF TREAD ON THEM (DONE UNDER 2. 00 MILES) NEW BEARINGS. nbsp;
EXHAUST. MANIFLOW TWIN BOX SYSTEM WITH LCB MANIFOLD.
PAINTWORK. A PROFESSIONAL PAINT JOB WITH MAZDA METALLIC RED & OLD ENGLISH WHITE ROOF. COST A LOT BUT WELL WORTH IT.
RADIO ETC. NEW CD RADIO FITTED WITH FRONT DOOR SPEAKER PODS. ALSO A HERTZ AMPLIFIER & BOOM BOOM BASS BOX WITH ANOTHER 2 SPEAKERS IN THE REAR PANELS (WAS PERSUADED BY A FRIEND TO FIT THIS !) 
MOT UNTIL  MAY 16TH NEXT YEAR & TAX TILL NEXT APRIL (FREE ANYWAY)
RUNNING GREAT & VERY QUICK.  
THE HONEST REASON I AM GETTING RID OF MY MINI IS BECAUSE I HAVE A NEW PROJECT.  A MK2 FORD TRANSIT VAN. I'VE WANTED ONE FOR AGES & LAST YEAR I MANAGED TO FIND ONE. (SEE PICTURE)  MY WIFE HATES IT & CALLS IT A PIKEY VEHICLE BUT I CALL IT A BANK ROBBERY GETAWAY VEHICLE ! HOPEFULLY IN 5 YEARS TIME.
