1965 Mercedes Opera coupe needing restoration. Basically a very sound old car. Original cream bodywork with red hide interior. These cars were all hand built. Manual 6 cylinder car. Car starts and drives but brakes are very poor and will not stop car. This is the wanted 'stacked headlight' model ?
There is rust in rear floorpan/footwells but I am told this is a very common problem and not hard to repair. This is a USA import so sun has flaked paint from roof. Car needs a complete respray. Interior will need seats re-trimming. Chrome is in good order however rear bumper will need work. The car is left hand drive. All paperwork is with the car to enable UK registration. All import duty and taxes have been paid by myself.
This is a very original unmolested sound old car that is worth a lot of money once restored. A very worth while project. Overseas bidders welcome. I will assist with loading and can deliver car to docks at a very reasonable price.
