'89 Jaguar XJS Convertible. over $100 k recently spent after original owner re acquired it.

Chequered Flag International is pleased to offer this stunningly restored 1989 Jaguar XJS Convertible. Originally purchased from Hornburg Jaguar in West LA California. The most elegant combination of Westminster Blue with Isis Blue leather and matching canvas convertible top. The XJS was enjoyed until the owner decided to offer it as a prize at the radio station he owned. But He never quite got over his love for this particular Jaguar and spoke of it often. Years later his wife made it her mission to track down and purchase his beloved XJS from its owner. She was able to track down the owner and wrote a letter (attached) explaining the sentiment involved in reuniting her husband and his lost love. After successfully re purchasing the Jag the original owner decided to completley restore it to perfection. In seeking out a marque specialist he decided to employ the services of World of Jaguar in Scottsdale AZ where he spent around $100. 00. Not happy with the results he then contracted Winning Makes in Santa Barbara Ca where further work totaling another $100 k was finished in December 2013. The result is the most remarkable 1989 Jaguar XJS we've seen. from the mirror finish paint to the flawless aromatic leather. Clearly emotion overruled judgement but the opportunity to buy it for around $35 k brings some logic back to the equation.

Comes with the receipts for restoration and it's original books. Inspections encouraged. all sales AS-IS. Sales tax and lic fees due if delivered in California.
