This E Type has had lots of work done by the previous owner. to get this car to near pristine condition.

After getting fed up with the restoration costs. he sold the car to us un-finished. we are now scheduling the works to get the car completed by the end of May 2014.

Believe us we know what these cars cost to restore & it is often more cost effective to buy this way.

What has been done

The owner has had the following works done at great expense. over the last year or so:

Brand new bonnet at a cost of £5. 00
New full re-paint
Renew or re-chrome all chrome-work
Re-trim
New headlining
A recent gearbox re-build
What needs to be done

Even though money has been recently spent to the engine & gearbox. of some £3. 00 to cure oil leaks. there has been little or no attention to detail under the bonnet.

In our opinion this is what needs to be done.

We will be following out the following restorations:

Remove engine
Detail to chassis space frame
Strip & renew all gaskets to etc to engine
Powder coating to all ancillaries. air box. header tank etc
Remove suspension & wishbones for overhaul & powder coating
Overhaul & powder coating of rear suspension & axle
This is not all but a summary of work we will carry out.

We have 2 more V 12 E Type arriving shortly.

One at a similar price & one we are going to restore to concourse condition at an estimate of £69. 95. Yes a lot. but we will probably lose money on that car. as we plan to restore to concourse condition to show case our work as a no-expense spared project. & you people who have restored cars will know what that means!
