1988 Fiero GT 6. 20 Original Owner Miles. I bought this car from Park Pontiac in New Hyde Park. New York in 1988. The Fiero GT has all the available options from 1988. Sunroof. leather. spoiler. de fogger. floor mats. performance sound. everything!! The Fiero GT still sits on its' original GT 4's. It has NEVER been driven in the rain. It has never been driven by anyone other than me. If it even looked cloudy it stayed home. Always garaged and most of that time it was covered. The exterior and interior are in excellent plus condition. The leather seats are smooth and supple. no cracking on the dash or seating areas. The exterior has some VERY VERY minor blemishes I tried to photograph. I realize I don't have any photos of the front and rear fascia's. There are no noticeable chips on either fascia.

I am selling it because I can no longer enjoy taking the car out here in New York.

First. the issues that should be addressed. The A/C needs to be re charged. Up until last year it worked fine. It still blows cool. but not like it did. Secondly. the performance sound system has an issue. After doing some research. nbsp;I found GM had some capacitor problems with these stereos. Unfortunately. I have a defective unit. It plays. but there is thumping / distortion on the right channel. My research shows a good radio shop familiar with Delco can repair the unit. BUT. included in the auction is a Delco 1988 Fiero GT performance sound unit AS WELL AS a Delco 1988 Trans Am performance sound unit. I read a few Fiero Gts MAY have left the factory with the T/A units. They are fully digital and will fit the dash opening perfectly.

Less serious. the GT 4's in the rear never held air pressure from the day I took delivery. Every few days they'll need to be topped off.

The Fiero GT still rides and handles perfectly. Shifts smooth and brakes are perfect. Steering is tight. It is a blast to drive.

Included in the auction is every piece of Fiero GT literature I have. The original owners' manual. publicity brochures. GM factory service manual. Chilton's manual and the original window sticker.  Included in the auction is a dollar bill.  A few weeks after I ordered the Fiero GT. GM issued the cancellation notice. I was unsure of getting my car. I got a call from Park Pontiac telling me I had a Fiero GT being built and a VIN. The only thing I had to write the VIN on was that dollar bill.

I have set a reasonable reserve for the Fiero GT. I based the reserve on what I have seen on eBay and the overall condition of my Fiero GT.

This is a wonderful example of the 1988 Fiero GT and I want it to go to a good home. Good Luck and Happy Bidding!!

Added on 5/24/14 Headlight motors seem to be misbehaving. Will consult the factory service manual to address the issue.

Seems to be a common problem with 87-88 Fiero. Bushings go bad over time. ordered repair kits which I will include in auction.
