Porsche 911 Carrera Targa 1986 with only 74600 miles - Not Turbo & No Whaletail

For sale my 1986 911 Porsche 3. 2 Carrera Targa (non Turbo and no whale tail)

Main Points:-

The car was originally purchased / registered in Ireland so the plate is not an ‘Ageless plate'. it is the cars real registration from day one.

The car has only done 74. 00 miles from new – so that's 2650 miles a year.

The car has always been cared for and has spent most of it's life (since 30. 00 miles anyway) always undercover and well looked after by its owners. generally collectors. Owners D Henderson – P Bell – M Pudney – B Tyler – Me. Owner before me was proprietor of garage dealing in specialist vehicles and hopefully he would know what he was looking at.

The car is. as best I can see 100% original. This includes the radio. the speakers. the switches. the dials. the carpets. the seats and all the accessories – even the boot liner is 100% complete except a couple of stud fasteners.

The paintwork is near perfect and original. The only criticism I would level is the rubber on the rear bumper is pulling away slightly at one point – a very small detail – nothing more.

I am as certain as I can be that the car has never been involved in any accident and is as straight and true as they come.

Electric mirrors. electric seats. electric windows. central locking. washers. wipers  –  they all work perfectly.

Upholstery as original. no stains. tears. discolouration and all as it left the showroom.

Engine has never ever let me down. fires every time and through it's stainless steel Dansk Sports Exhaust System sounds astonishing.

Tires look like they have reasonable life left – battery brand new – two keys

Druck pressure. engine temps all as they should be. Never a single oil drip on the garage floor.

The hood is almost perfect and collapses as it should - there are no age related faults or defects.

One last great thing. the car is about the most comfortable car you could ever wish to sit in. Through either luck or design. Porsche nailed it with these seats.

Loads of paperwork. receipts. service book. old MOTs and including a 3 page history written by its then owner in 2001.

Everything works except the wiring from the radio to the speakers is a bit touch and go. The original Blaupunkt radio works but sometimes everything goes silent. I think it is the wiring through the fader switch but I do not want to fiddle. The other thing is the heating – I cannot seem to turn it completely off but again I do not altogether know why and as it does not bother me. I don't want to fiddle.

MOT till 4/7/14 but no advisories on last – Tax until August 2014

Full service at 72. 00 miles (2000 miles ago)

Deposit £500 through PayPal remainder cleared funds before collection – cash. cleared cheque. transfer etc.  

Obviously - collection only but hey. what a car to go home in !!

Shame really. having written this I have almost sold the car back to myself - Anyway. if you have a mind to own an 80's Porsche 911 then you will not do much better – over to you !!!
