The Lancia Delta Integrale was one of those cars that. when they came along. blew the opposition away. Universally regarded as one of the great rally cars of all time. the Integrale was the poster car for a generation of young men. Whilst the Lancia might have been spiritually succeeded by the Suburu Impreza. the young Japanese pretender never had the heart and soul of the Italian thoroughbred.
The four-wheel-drive system supplied by Ferguson was via viscous couplings and a Torsen differential. a key design feature that helped give it the edge over its competitors. They won the World Rally Championship 2 years in a row in 1987 and 1988. with the 16 valve cylinder head mated to the 2 litre engine giving 200 bhp in road going trim.
This fine example shows only 38. 50 kilometres on the odometer and is in very good condition. The outside has been wrapped in the famous Martini colours from the model's competition heyday. whilst the interior remains standard in grey. There are few better fast road cars for a dash through the winding Scottish highlands or blast up a little used Alpine pass. If you've always wanted one but never quite got round to it. now is the time.
