 1969 Dodge Super Bee A-12 Performance/Concurs reproduction

This is a no expense spared Concurs restoration of the legendary limited production 69 and one-half Dodge Super Bee.   It included a 390 hp (291 kW) version of the 440 with three 2bbl Holley carburetors on an aluminum intake manifold. a black fiberglass lift-off hood secured with metal pins. heavy-duty suspension and 15" steel wheels with no hubcaps or wheel covers.   The hood has an integrated forward-facing scoop which sealed to the air cleaner assembly and bore a decal on each side with the words "SIX PACK" in red letters. "Six Pack" being the name used for the 6-bbl induction setup when installed on a Dodge (Plymouth went with "440 6bbl" on the A12 Road Runners).   The A12 Super Bee could be had with most Super Bee options. with the exception of air conditioning and tire-wheel packages.   The A12 option was a 1969-only package. but the 440 6bbl returned in 1970 as an optional engine on both the Super Bee and the Coronet R/T.

Built for nothing more than crushing the guy in the next lane on an avenue called Woodward these lift-off hood Super Bees were kings of the street. with a legacy as large as its ultra-cool fiberglass hood scoop.

This car retains every ounce of its Detroit racing heritage with a number of performance. safety. and comfort upgrades.   The completely rebuilt motor is a true 69 440 mill. bored and honed . 30 over with fresh everything including an Edelbrock XE252HCAM. performance timing chain. and SRP pistons.   This car was subject to a no expense spared performance buildup.   All receipts for motor build are in hand.

Air exits the motor through a set of 2 inch TTI performance headers.

A new TCI transmission turns the correct 410 gear controlled by a BMN hammer shifter.

Power brakes are augmented by a full disc conversion.   A fresh rebuild brings the car to a halt with new lines and hoses.

A full rotisserie restoration with correct B5 Blue paint everywhere including correctly done overspray was the only way to treat a car as special as this one.

Inside you'll find a mix of mint original parts with high quality reproductions.   New gauge bezels add sparkle. as do the new armrest bases. window cranks and inside door handles.   All soft trim from the headliner to the door panels to the carpet is new from Legendary.   The restored gauges and heater console read brightly and accurately. the upper door frames were repainted and accent the new door panels. and the seats are perfect for a decent cruise.

The body is very straight. the gaps are excellent and the doors close very nicely.   Open the doors to reveal zinc plated latches and strikers as well as excellent paint in the jambs.   Up front you'll find a freshly re-chromed bumper underneath a mint grille and proper GE headlamps before moving up to the mammoth black hood.   The riveted hood pin bezels are correct (only steel hoods got screws) as are the short lanyards.   The bright work on the car is in superb shape with an excellent shine.   The rear bumper is also re-chromed and sits below an excellent tail panel and taillight set.   Four correct black steel H wheels are wrapped with brand new F70x15 Mickey Thompson Blackwalls.

Open up the trunk to find a perfect floor pan augmented by the correct spare. restore jack. and a new trunk mat.

Recent maintenance to the car includes all fluid changes and a full tune up.   This car is as clean underneath as it is on top and leaks nothing.   Proper six pack tuning was done by Pro Max Performance. Gasoline Alley Indianapolis. Indiana - one of the country's few experts on six pack performance augmentation.

This car needs nothing. is in stunning. beautiful condition. and is absolutely turn-key and ready to go.
