Rare Woodgrain Delete Option - 50K Effective Miles!!

HISTORY:  I  wanted this particular '89 Jeep Grand Wagoneer in the rare old classic style when I first saw it in 2000. It's unusual in that it has the woodgrain paneling delete option that cost an additional $350.   I was living in Seattle at the time and had fallen in love with these vehicles since I regularly drive in winter over the mountain passes and across country sometimes pulling a trailer.   My renter. a certified Swedish machinist with good mechanical skills. was restoring my collection of Jeep GW's.   This came to us for full restoration at 130. 00 miles by the grandson of the original owner when he saw the work being done on my other GW's.   After a full restoration for over $6K. the grandson sold it back to me 5 years later. Simply put. I have to start getting rid of my car collection since I'm not Jay Leno and must concentrate on restoration of my absolute "keepers"  ('47 Cadillac convertible. '69 Cuda 340 "S". etc). CONDITION:   There is NO rust anywhere on this Jeep.   Everything that usually goes wrong with age was rebuilt during the restoration. including doors. tailgate. stereo system. transmission. brakes. motor. etc.     Door hinges are tight. tailgate works like it should . Carpet and seat are in excellent condition.   Brakes. tranny. engine. transfer case work well.   No drivetrain leaks have been observed.   The effective "age" of this GW is 50K miles.   The brakes were rebuilt with DOT 5 fluid. engine done with double roller timing chain. bored . 010. hi-torque cam. carb rebuilt. etc.   The catalytic converter and much of exhaust was replaced to pass emissions.   When I took it over in 2005. the original clear coat was failing so I repainted it in the original dark metallic anthracite gray for $3500.   I've driven it about 6. 00 miles and it has been stored inside almost all the time.   Over $11. 00 has been spent on the Jeep.   I estimate the remaining life on the drivetrain is over 100. 00 miles. due to way the vehicle runs with no observed smoking. tight tranny etc.  

Deficiencies:  I'm driving the Jeep back to Alabama very soon depending on auction results.   There I have trusted mechanics and craftsmen.   I will repair all known deficiencies which at this time include replacement of the headliner. opening the clogged sunroof drains. updating the A/C with R134A and other minor items.    There is a streak in the windshield where the wiper arm scrubbed.   Any other problems. if any found. will be noted and discussed with inquiring buyers.   The tires should probably be replaced simply because of age.

DELIVERY:  I can drive the Jeep anywhere for delivery including Canada. I've sold to Europe before. Please allow adequate time for the repairs noted above to be made by  craftsmen/mechanics in Alabama.

PAYMENT:  A deposit  of $5. 00 USD is due within 5 days of auction end unless other arrangement is made.   Balance is due at time of delivery/pick up.
