375 hp motor this car is a monstrous 18. 5 ft long and 6. 6 ft wide. It weighs in at 2200 kgs

1968 model grilles had an insert with finer mesh and step down outer section which held the rectangular parking lights just a little higher than before. Rear end styling was modestly altered with the deck lid having more of a rake. The most obvious change was an 8. 5-inch-longer hood designed to accommodate recessed windshield wiper-washers. which now came with three speeds standard. Of 20 exterior paint colour combinations. 14 were totally new. On the inside enriched appointments included moulded inner door panels with illuminated reflectors and a selection of 147 upholstery combinations. 76 in cloth. 67 in leather and four in vinyl. New standard features included a Light Group. a Mirror Group. a trip odometer and an ignition key warning buzzer. The De Ville also gained a new 472 cu in (7. 30 cc) V 8 engine rated at 375 hp (SAE gross). 1968 was also the last year for the "stacked" dual headlights. which were replaced with side-by-side dual headlights in 1969. This was also the last year for vent windows.

This car was originally imported from the US into the UK in 1990 reg no BHJ 127 F and was barely used before coming into Ireland in 2005.

The displayed mileage of 14. 00 is reputed to be the actual mileage covered. This is reflected in the fact that this car is in totally original condition throughout with the exception of new carpets. Despite long periods of inactivity it starts on the button and drives well. Bodywork totally unmarked with the exception of one small dint to the rear wing which we can get a paintless repair done if necessary. Chrome is mainly good though some of the lower sections have a small amount of staining. Interior is immaculate. A new soft top with glass rear screen is supplied (unfitted) though the current roof is serviceable if somewhat discoloured. Mechanically car is in good overall condition.

Usual big specification including power steering. brakes. airconditioning. seats. windows. hood etc. all in working order.
