This 1953 Buick Super Estate Woody wagon is that rare kind of car that evokes wonder in all who behold it. A Harley Earl designed car introduced on the occasion of the fiftieth anniversary of Buick. the Super Estate featured the first Buick V-8 engine 322 CID / 170 HP and the first 12-volt electrical system. It was also the very last of the American "woody" station wagons. Together these features make this car one of the most desirable of its kind. The production numbers for the 1953 Buick Estate Wagons were only 1. 30 for the Supers. The wagon's styling is signature Harley Earl. from the enormous vertical-tooth grille to the sweeping bright body-side trim with the famous body-side portholes. were a hallmark of that period's upscale Buick's. these cars are just stunning.

This particular car is a fantastic candidate for restoration or preservation class with just the right amount of patina. Running and driving having just had a new brake master installed and rebuilt brake booster. tune up. carburetor rebuild and new muffler. This car still needs some minor dialing in to be 100% road worthy. It did just do a 30 mile drive from the shop that did the work in the past 2 weeks but still needs some things sorted out. Right side manifold has a small leak. in need of shocks or rebuilding. Lights are working but all should be gone over. The body and car is all here but has had some patch work on the floors and shown in the pictures. Again. with a little bit more TLC this car is ready for the road as is and will turn heads everywhere. If seeking one for restoration this car has all the makings of an amazing investment and show car.
