Sunbeam Alpine.

 

SERIES 2. High wing model.

 

1st Registered: 1962 – re-registered in 1990 following extensive restoration project (receipts available)

Registration: WSJ 711

 

This is a highly desireable car with (in my opinion) the most beautiful bodywork / interior colour combination.

 

Right hand drive.

4 speed manual gearbox (no overdrive).

1592cc 4 cylinder engine (80 bhp). with twin Zenith carbs.

Red vinyl seats with white piping.

Red carpet.

Black vinyl hood.

Painted wire wheels. knock on's.

Sony CD/Radio.

The V5 registration document shows 3 former keepers.

The car is tax exempt and comes with 12 month MOT.

 

Since purchasing in 2004 the car has benefitted from the fitting of a stainless steel exhaust. Goodridge stainless steel brake hoses and Pertronics electronic ignition conversion. The only reason I have to sell is to fund a new business venture which I am starting up.

 

The 'Alpine' script is missing from the drivers side. some paint is peeling in the engine bay. but to be honest is has got no worse in the 10 years I have had the car. There is some minor blemishes on the passengers door (see photo) but no rust other than this and the rest of the car is in great condition.

The car comes with a workshop manual. convertible top. a factory hard top (some finishing off work to do) plus a ‘lucky dip' box of spares. Please feel free to ask any questions.

The car is garaged at our home in Nottingham and I would highly recommend that you come view it in person to appreciate it's great condition. If you are looking with firm interest a mutually convenient time. before the end of the auction can be arranged.

Polite request. please only bid on the car if you have a genuine desire to own it. as the wining bid is the final price and non negotiable afterwards. Please no dreamers or tyre kickers and there will be £100 none refundable pay pal deposit within 2 days of bid ending. The car can then be picked up once outstanding funds are fully cleared (cheque or bank transfer).
