This is the Andrew Mynett Scimitar who did a vast amount of work. including a rebuilt engine. new seals in back axle. chassis painted. rebuilt suspension all round. Peugeot modified vented disc and callipers. copper pipes and stainless braided flexibles and a new rad.

My contribution has been to free off the sticking servo. rebuild rear brakes. remake the ball joint modified gear selectors. (which is a popular mod and improves the gear change no end) and free up the throttle cable and fit an additional return spring. It is registered as an auto but Stuart changed to manual with overdrive box. Normally garaged. Composite wheels with set of new tyres. (Spare wheel is an MGB one !) Stainless steel exhaust systems and towbar and ball.

Jobs to do:-

Wire up water temperature gauge and cooling fan.

Fit and connect overdrive isolator switch and operating switch (supplied).

Fit floor carpets(supplied) and a proper gear lever grommet.

Sort out boot lock. outside lock disconnected from inner.

Needs front quarter bumper bolts. one each side.

New terminals on brake fluid level float.

New bit of rear washer hose needed.

Condition:- Body is sound with only 3 small areas of crazing but paint is sad and will need a respray sometime. It does tidy up with an aerosol so that could be put off for a bit.

Trim is good for year (black) and a set of floor carpets is included. Window seals are aged. Needs a steering wheel centre. a rear bumper (rechrome ?) and a radio to block the hole up.

Small tears in drivers seat seam (will try to get wife to fix! ) Overall an exceptionally mechanically sound GTE with all the 'grunt' work done just a few minor and genuinely cosmetic ones to do.

Mot till next January and taxed till July.
