This is a very reluctant sale of my mk 2 escort to fund my wedding. The car is in excellent condition and ticks all the boxes if you are after this type of road legal track car. It has only recently been finished and has had virtually no use. It is taxed until the end of January and the MOT expires August 2014. It has a 5 digit private plate that will remain with the car.

Engine

Newly built 160 bhp 2. 1 pinto with Capri 2. 8 pistons on twin Weber 48's with syntec linkage kit. Vulcan engineering maxiflow 3 head and Kent FR 32 cam. The engine has been lightened balanced and has not even done 1000 miles. The whole car has been professionally re-wired with most of the unsightly cables and wires being hidden. It has a Facet red top fuel pump and filterking fuel filter/regulator with fuel pressure gauge.

Body

The shell has been welded in the usual places to a good standard and is rust and rot free. It has had strengthening plates around the shell with front and rear strut braces. The paintwork is excellent. All windows are Perspex apart from the windscreen. I did not put Mexico decals on it as I prefer the smoother look. The headlights are brand new items with high intensity bulbs making night driving so much easier. So much has been renewed on this car which adds to its overall fresh look.

Transmission

Type 9 5 speed Box. Single piece prop and Tran-x 4. 4 plated lsd

Brakes

Rear disk brake conversion with hydraulic handbrake. Princess 4 pot AP's up front with greenstuff pads and a bias pedal box.

Wheels and tyres

Deep dish Revolutions in black with stainless dish with yokohama A 539 175/50/r 13 tyres with very good tread. The rear wheels have been machined to allow the wheels to sit snugly under the arches with the rear disk conversion.

Suspension

The rear is de-cambered and lowered a further 2 inches. The fronts have a bilstein coilover conversion and dropped to match the back. and as you can see by the pictures the stance is fantastic.

Interior

Very basic. totally stripped out with only a switch plate that houses the oil pressure and water temperature gauges. It has a push start switch panel and does not require a key. The car will only come with the one driver's magnum competition seat. but the 2 corbeau 4 point harnesses

The only thing I will say is that it has no keys and no locks to the car – easy enough to do but has never bothered me as it is in very secure storage and I did not get round to it. The tax runs out the end of this month.

If you do not like attention. this car is not for you. It is bright yellow. very noisy and a very harsh ride it is a real handful to drive but you will get admiring looks everywhere and get out with a smile on your face every time.
