Austin Mini 1988 Mary Quant Designer Ltd Edition 1000 cc My wife Purchased the car Last year to use as a summer sunshine toy only (nostalgic reasons). It has spent most of the year in the garage covered up, as just not got the time to go out in it, as we would rather ride our motorcycles when the sun is out. It has only done 300 miles since we have owned it, and the previous 2 years it had done 36 miles.5 former keepers.Obviously it has had a full restoration in its life, but not sure when. The car is solid all round, and underneath which can be checked out by pulling the carpets up. I am not a Mini fanatic so will do my best to explain what we have done to it.Solid underneath (Video available to see, as we were able to borrow a pit)All interior pulled out, and cleaned, including carpets. Seats and covers removed and cleaned up. New front seat belts. fitted Sunroof was very grotty, and needed refitting, as it was stiff to open.Had this done by a professional classic car company. £600. Looks absolutely fantastic now.We had it serviced 300 miles ago.Oil Oil, and air filter New plugs, and HT leads New distributer cap, condenser, and rotor arm New coil.Carbs stripped, and cleaned. New needles, and jets.All purchased from a Mini specialist Everything on the car is spot on. It failed the MOT last week on a front passenger side leaking shock absorber. We had both replaced on the front, and now it has passed. The car has clearly been cared for which you can see by the pictures.You can just get in it turn the key, and drive away. Excellent condition. Something you could drive to a Mini meet, or show, and not put on a trailer, and park it up for everybody to look at. Good honest mini.The car is priced to sell, and is well worth every penny. More photo's and video's available on request. Cash or Bank transfer on collection
