Hi
The time has come for me to sell my beloved Chevy 4 x 4 truck. I have owned her for nearly six years.
I purchased the truck from a guy in the military who had it brought over from the states in 2005.
The truck has been an on going project starting out as a V 8 petrol but now running an ex-military 6. 5 Turbo Diesel V 8 with only 21702 km on it (13484 miles) and a 4 L 80 E auto gearbox all from a 2000 year model.
Over the last few years I have carried out loads of work which includes giving the truck a full respray in Mercedes white. adding custom stainless twin exhaust stacks. halogen reversing lights and of course a full engine and transmission swop.
Some of the other features of the truck. being the optional 4 x 4 model are massive Dana 70 front axle. Dana 80 rear axle. 19. 5" Bridgestone Re-groovable commercial tyres. Hydro-boost braking system with ABS and vented discs all round.
Inside the truck has electric windows. central locking (on remote). cruise control and air conditioning.
Being the HD model the truck has a 15000 lb (6. 7 ton) chassis and can tow or carry massive loads and would suit a fifth wheel hitch. The pick-up bed is eight foot long and has a spray on Rhino bed lining. there is also a set of lockable aluminium lockers at the front of the bed. these sit off the bed of the truck so loading can take place underneath. Eight by four sheets fit a treat and the tailgate still shuts. try doing that on a UK pick-up.
I have recently fitted two new Bosch S 4 batteries and had a new propshaft made at Bailey Morris.
This has been an awesome truck to own. it has an MOT until 27 th July 2014 and is Taxed until the end of the month.
