For auction is a 1951 Chevrolet 3100 5 window short bed pick up [the desirable one] having just arrived from California. The truck has been unused for approx 30 years so obviously requires a restoration. The pickup appears very original and unmolested and is complete baring for some engine ancillaries that were "borrowed" for another truck with a similar engine. The Chevy has Californian documents and has been officially imported to the UK so all UK duties are paid meaning registration is straightforward without any hidden expenses. The truck is Californian so has had the benefit of a dry climate. exterior panel wise it is very sound the only notable corrosion being the n/s cab bottom corner. this is an easy repair and very common. the cab floor has also suffered due to having a wet foam backed floor mat on it for years. the floor requires repair/ replacement. The Chevy would be ideal for either renovation to standard or a V 8 hot rod type vehicle. The rare corner glasses are good but the other cab glass is cracked.
