RARE 1987 FORD ESCORT 175BHP COMBI VAN RS TURBO RECENT RESTORATION

ORIGINAL 1987 FORD COMBI VAN (VERY RARE)RECENTLY RESTORED WITH PHOTOS. ALL RUST CUT OUT AND NEW PANELS WELDED INHISTORY SHOWS HAS ONLY DONE 18 k SINCE NEW (NOT ALL HISTORY PRESENT THOUGH)
NOW HAS A 1. 6 FORD RS TURBO ENGINE. STILL GOOD ON FUEL
MOT'd till 30 th May 2013 (should fly through next MOT)TAX'd till June 2013 (£121 for 6 months)

A lot has been spent to build this combi van. I'm not sure how much as I would rather not think about it :)
This started its life out as a 1. 4 the previous owner then put in a 1. 6 which is registered (however the number plate doesnt show up with insurance companies so i had it insured as a 1. 4) and this was taken out and replaced with a 1 . 6 Ford RS Turbo engine with T 3 turbo. which has a lot of chrome parts (see pics) also blue samco hoses and bailey dump valve The person who i bought the engine off said the engine had been rebuilt one thousand miles ago and it has not been driven much since the restoration. Should be running about 175 bhp as it has a 175 bhp superchip. but needs testing on a rolling road. It has a respray in Ford Panther Black Pearl (few marks on front bumper from putting engine in)The back is now carpeted in Black (ready for a bed :P)Rare power tech type D wide alloy wheels which are very wide (15 x 9 i think). Brand new tyres all around. The door and boot locks have been flushed to improve security and remote central locking fitted RS Turbo steering wheel Alpine Speakers. sony head unit Spare steel wheel with good tyre Brand new rocker cover gasket. cam belt. alternator belt (less than 200 miles)3 inch straight through exhaust. 3. 5" back box Momo gear knob 90 spec interior with recaro seats (very comfy)have MOTs going back a few of years A few spares which the buyer is welcome to
Bad points:The battery doesn't hold charge very well anymore due to being sat for ages while the car was being restored When cold the idle speed is abit off but im sure this is not a major issue and is fine once warm Small oil leak from rocker cover. have a spare rocker cover that just needs to be fitted Alloys have some minor curbing Temp sensor doesn't work THESE ARENT MAJOR ISSUES AND DONT AFFECT THE DRIVE

These combi vans are getting rare now and dvlas howmanyleft. com says there are only 33 left on the road
