For sale 1973 Ford Escort Mk 1 RS 2000. Olympic Blue. Black roll tops seats that have been recovered and are as new. Genuine type 49 bodyshell (original shell).
Very nice and straight polished RS alloys and full set of Cibies.
This is not a concours show car and does have some rust here and there on the front of the wings. doors and some under the rear window and boot lid (good second hand boot lid included with new decal). Overall its a solid car. having had new floors. sills etc in the past. Its just gone through an MOT with no probs. Paint work looks good in the photos and is shiny and useable but it won't win any trophies. It is however a very cheap RS 2000 and better than having your money in the bank.
The car has several nice mods which includes. fast road engine. with big valved worked head. fast road cam. Vernier pulley. Burton rocker cover. twin 45 Dellortos. engine lightened and balanced. 5 speed gearbox and heavy duty clutch. WCXM. quick rack. anti dive. Princess 4 pot front brakes. Ashley 4 branch system. all this makes it a real fun drive. The car can be driven and enjoyed straight away.
I have loads of receipts and mots and copies of old log books.
Please dont expect a perfect car. to make this a show car would require a restoration(But a show standard RS car is £20 k-£24 k). but if you want an affordable RS and be able to use it. its just the job.
