A wonderful example of this sought-after series with a great history. Delivered in 1962 by the oldest Mercedes dealer in the US. Don Rasmussen Company. to Hazel Heckman in Tacoma. Washington. She kept the car for 30 years and it was then purchased by the LeMay Museum where is was to remain until 2013.

The body remained rust-free. but the paint had deteriorated. so the next owner stripped it completely and resprayed it in its original Horizon Blue (code DB504). The underside of the car is as good as the top!  All door shutlines are excellent. the build quality is fantastic throughout.

The interior remains original to this day. Trim is leather and all the wood and chrome are in in very good condition indeed. There are a few areas that could be improved. but that's for you to decide - some people prefer originality. some don't.

The straight-6 engine is original. the Zenith carburettors have been rebuilt and the sensible upgrades to electronic ignition and Delco 100amp alternator have been made. New bushes were fitted to the column gearchange. As part of the recommissioning after its life in the museum the brake master cylinder was given new sleeves; the fuel tank removed and cleaned with a new sender unit fitted; cooling system flushed through. Upon arrival in the UK. 5 brand new tyres were fitted. the originals having cracked sidewalls.

It comes with its original Becker radio. This powers on. but there is no sound.

It is a left-hand drive. US-specification model. It comes with a great deal of original paperwork and owner's handbook. Mileage showing is just over 24. 00. but this is not guaranteed as being either 24. 00 or 124. 00.

All import duties are paid and is UK registered with the age-related number 387 UYS and MOT'd. It is located in Malvern. Worcestershire. about a mile from the Morgan factory.
