For auction is this fantastic 1976 Ford Cortina 2000 E which has undergone much improvement carried out by professional trades using only new high quality parts or new old stock parts where required.

In 2012 the car underwent the following refurbishment having been dry stored for 10 years plus Rear axle fully polybushed (supplied by Burton Power)

New twin 45 Webber carbs (supplied by Burton Power)

New hand ported and polished stage 3 unleaded cylinder head (supplied by Burton Power)

Kent fast road cam (supplied and fitted by Burton Power)

Fuel King electric fuel pump and control valve (supplied by Burton Power)

Lux fast road clutch (supplied by Burton Power)

Bosch electronic fast road distributor and coil pack (supplied by Burton Power)

Superflow alloy exhaust system (lifetime warranty)

Koni gas adjustable shockabsorbers (supplied by Burton Power)

138 lb competition coil springs (supplied by Burton Power. springs lower car by 1 inch)

N. O. S Recaro half leather seats (front)

Refurbed RS Ronal alloys (shipped in from Poland)

Type 9 gearbox

RS 2000 engine mounts (supplied by Burton Power)

Period cibie spots mounted on custom bracket.

The top two are very rare Cibie Tourini carbon fibre types.

New ancillarys (water pump. alternator. battery. cam belt. tensioner etc. )

Mopar thermostatic oil cooler

High Pressure oil pump/drive shaft (supplied by Burton Power)

Rear N. O. S widow lovre (Not too sure on the spelling!!!!)

N. O. S f/o/s wing. bonnet. r/o/s door. r/n/s door & f/n/s door.

In January 2013 the vehicle was stripped down again and a recon Jem 2. 1 205 block was fitted (warranty to Jan 2014) with a lightened and balanced alloy fly wheel supplied by Burton Power.

This engine is made to their superior spec and I would refer you to their website for full details however. it is built to the highest quality and using top quality parts.

K&N filters used throughout. Competition grade gaskets used and a special cylinder head gasket allowing 7 cc extra per cylinder. it makes all the difference :-).

One way valve fitted to servo similar to that found on the RS 2000.

The engine is run in having now covered about 2000 miles.

It sounds like a beast! The carbs were set up by my local Aston Martin dealer to my requirements but yours may differ so you mey want to get the car re-tuned etc.

The car will be supplied with a new Mo T.

The bodywork is in good order but certainly not concourse.

I have aimed to produce a 'what if' project of a RS Mk 3 Cortina should one have ever been made.

Kindly note that this is not a do it yourself project but a professional build at great cost. a history file dating back to 1989 is present.
