1980 PORSCHE 924 TURBO, Carrera GT Evocation, Rare, Superb Condition, History for sale

Porsche 924 Turbo (Type 931). Carrera GT Evocation. 1980 ‘V'
A superb 924 Turbo which has been painstakingly built to precisely replicate the 924 Carrera GT and which is now offered for sale by the long-term Porsche enthusiast owner.
Based on the rarer. Series 1. Porsche 924 Turbo models. only built during 1979-80. and
finished in Porsche Grand Prix White 507. (to emulate the prototype Carrera GT/GTS models). and
enhanced with a Carrera GT bodykit. all as part of an extensive rebuild. which saw many fittings re-anodised and powder coated. The body kit is not a poorly attached fibreglass kit. instead it includes steel front wings and the correct rear inner wheel-arch in-fills for those iconic flared arches.
The detailed engine bay features many as-new components in appearance.
It has
the very expensive and much sought-after Fuchs lightweight alloy rims (7-inch front/8-inch rear. as on the 911 Turbo) in excellent. polished condition. wrapped in Yokohama Ad Van tyres. The interior has the white pinstripe fabric of prototype GTS models. plus an oil-pressure gauge. ammeter and clock with green lettering. as used for the instruments of the Series 1 only for just 2 years. Bilstein rear dampers.
