Ford Escort Mk1, Mint condition, Ermine white, 2.0L Pinto engine

This car is mint. 2800 miles since a complete nut & bolt restoration.

Started life as a 1100 L. she's had a complete bare metal respray including being undersealed & seamsealed. primed & painted in Ermine white and then waxoiled - body work/paint job cost £5. 50 & you can see why (all tho its a few years since being painted - it looks like it was done yesterday). fitted with a 2 Litre pinto. with race cam & twin 45 webbers - drives & sounds exactly as a Mk 1 should.

Since owning the car I have only done a couple of jobs to her:-

1. New front chrome quarter bumpers.

2. The car was running a bit crap on the first day I brought it. so i had the Twin 45 carb's set up by 'Atspeed racing' costing a lot of money £530 - but the car has run really well since & Atspeed claim that the carbs will not need setting up again.

The carb set-up was then featured in Retroford July 2013 (I have a copy which goes with the car). as Atford had be looking for a mint engine bay. to feature their carb setup work.
