Bentley S1

Bentley S1 - it's a luxury car, produced from 1955 to 1959 and cost in the years of the issue £ 1803. This is the first of the post-war models of the concern, which has received really updated design. Changed all the lights and lines of the body, the shape of the front and rear bumpers. New features of the design with only minor changes are easily guessed until the appearance of the T series in 1965. And that's interior has remained expensive with traditional stylistic decisions, which is highly valued by admirers of the brand. In fact, it is in the luxurious, even the pomposity of finishing is the only (except for the name, of course) differences between Bentley S1 and Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud I, produced in the same years.

Under the hood Bentley S1 is in-line six-cylinder engine with a volume of 4887sm3. It was the last model, on which was mounted a modified engine from Rolls-Royce Twenty, the production of which was started back in the 20-ies. However, the performance characteristics are very good for 1900-pound car: the maximum speed was 167 km/h, acceleration up to a hundred took 13 seconds. Cruise in 100 km to the Bentley S1 is 17.5 litres of petrol.
