Jaguar XK140 thinking as the coupe, but later appeared and other modifications - convertible and double-seat Roadster. From its predecessor, XK120, the car was distinguished by the presence of a rack and pinion steering and improved braking system.
The changes affected the appearance: the Jaguar XK140 appeared direction indicators, front and rear bumpers added in size, has a little changed the design of the grille. The engine was moved to 76 mm forward, that allowed to increase the free space in the cabin, but such shifts in podkapotnom space have not found the response from car owners, as resulted in severe difficulties in carrying out repair works.
