Jaguar E-Type
When the model of E-Round presented at the Geneva motor show, Switzerland, in 1961. Jaguar flooded with orders, because at that time no other machine could not be compared with the appearance, speed and performance at a price of 3400 dollars. It was used monokokovaya design, such developed for racing Jaguar D-Type, with independent steel supporting frames. In the front part was dvuhrychazhnaya suspension with transverse links and torsion, while in the rear was a great effectiveness linkage suspension with a lever and the top of the PTO drive shaft with large drives and two shock absorbers on each side. The engine again improvement was previously used in the model HC contract six-cylinder, with three SU carburetors, which provide very smooth power supply that is well suited for a four-mechanical gearbox. Test-drive on the famous British race track Ml proved that these cars are capable to develop its the advertised maximum speed of 241 km/h.
