Fiat 8V - this sports car class, produced by the Italian factory Fiat in the period from 1952 to 1954. Presentation of the new model took place in 1952-th year at the Geneva Motor show.
Car 8V was not particularly high sales, but showed good results in the race. The model was designed by Fabio Luchio Rapi and Dante Dzhiakoza. The machines are installed V-shaped 8-micilindrovyy engine 1996 CC., who developed the capacity to 105 horsepower, which allowed sportkaram reach a top speed of 190 km/h. Usually a car was powered by a four-manual gearbox and had drum brakes at each wheel and independent suspension on each side.
Until the end of the production models of Fiat 8V was sold 114 dvuhdvernyh sports cars. From them 34 of the vehicle had body of the company Carozzeria Speciale FIAT, and another 32 instance, issued by the company Zagato, called Elaborata Zagato. Most of the cars were coupe, however, a small part of the produced as a Roadster.
Until 1959 car Fiat 8V periodically won the Italian race-class GT among two-liter car.
