Aston Martin DB2/4
Aston Martin DB2/4 (often called DB2/4 Mk1) is a vehicle of class Grand Tourer, was sold by Aston Martin from 1953 to 1957. In the basis of the machine was a model of DB2, which it replaced. DB2/4 was available as Drophead Coupe (DHC) and 2+2 hatchback (known as the Aston Martin Saloon). Other changes included a secure windshield, large bumper and headlights. Only a handful of cars with a body from Bertone were sold to private buyers.
Total built 764 car Aston Martin DB2/4, 102 of them - in the back of the Drophead Coupe.
The engine Lagonda was originally the same, as developed by W.O. Bentley and used in DB2 version of Vantage. Volume of the engine VB6E was 2.6 liter, which gives 125 HP. (93 kW). In September 1953, for a body of Saloon and in April 1954 for the body Drophead was presented with a new engine of 2.9 liters, with a capacity of up to 140 HP. (104 kW), which allowed to disperse the car up to 120 mph (193 km/h).
