Used AC Greyhound Cars
AC Greyhound (in the production of 1959-1963) was the "2+2" version of the models Ace and Aceca made by the company Ac Cars in Thames Ditton, Surrey, England. There were 83 car Greyhound, they had a two-door, four bedded aluminium housing, and inherited most of the technical components of the AU and Aceca:
- the staircase-frame chassis
- independent spring suspension front and back
- 4-speed manual gearbox, Overdrive advanced
- rack and pinion steering
- 298 mm disc brakes at the front, 279 mm rear drum brakes
The machines were equipped with different-line six-cylinder engines:
1,991-liter AC Cars OHC (75 HP at 4500 rpm; 1000 kg)
1,971-liter Bristol 100D2 OHV, (125 HP at 5750 rpm; 1015 kg)
2,216-liter Bristol (105 HP at 4700 rpm; 1093 kg)
2,553-liter Ford Zephyr (up to 170 HP at 5500; 1040 kg)
Three cars Greyhound were left-hand drive, the rest were with the right wheel.
Car with 2-liter engine Bristol was tested Motor magazine in 1961 and had a top speed of 110 mph (180 km / h)and could accelerate from 0-60 mph (97 km / h), in 11.4 seconds. Fuel consumption of 21.8 miles per Imperial gallon (of 13.0 l/100 km; 18,2 miles to the us gallon).
