Here we have for sale ‘Monty' our 1971 VW Camper Van. If you're looking for a van that's ready to use this summer. Monty is for you!

Since we bought Monty in 2009. he's had a brand new interior. new wheels. replaced adjustable front beam. lowered. new break callipers. new alternator. new exhaust. steering linkages and much more.

Monty is tax exempt and is a much sought after Dormobile conversion. He's a 1971 cross-over model. He comes with MOT valid until September 2014.

Interior

Monty has had a new interior. fitted by RV Tech. This includes:

Rock and Roll Bed. with storage underneath

2 x canvas bunk beds in the elevating roof

Smev Twin Gas Hob

Sink with electric tap and water storage

Electric Fridge (12v)

Lots of storage cupboards

Leisure battery

240V electric hook up

Interior lighting

Removable buddy seat for extra storage

Mechanics

Monty is a reliable runner. and in recent years has benefitted from a new alternator. new exhaust (only recently fitted). new steering linkages. scat gear shifter and new break callipers . The front beam was replaced with a used (but solid) adjustable front beam. allowing Monty to be lowered and show off his new BRM wheels.

He's also had new front shocks. "arrruuggggahhh" horn. door locks. mirrors. roof rack. sky light seals and lots of bits and pieces to make him look cool. too many to mention!

Body Work

Monty is a good looking boy for his age! Generally. Monty's body work is in good condition. there is some bubbling paint work (as to be expected!) and the passenger and drivers doors in particular will need replacing at some point. We do have the paint colour references which will allow paintwork to be matched if needed.

The van is located in Stourbridge. West Midlands and you are more than welcome to come and view.  Monty is ready to go for this summer. We've had some fantastic times in him. and we really hope that he goes to someone who is going to look after him well and keep him on the road for many years to come :)
