 Owned and raced this car since 2003 in the VSCCA. VRG and HSR by the same owner.
The car was built in the late eighties a ground up build done by Kurt
Hoffman of Hoffman Racing. a well know expert in Austin Healey race prep
and rebuilding. The original owner was Harvey Siegel (owner of VIR) who
campaigned it thru the mid nineties. Subsequent owners include a Mr.
Jacobs (SVRA). a Mr. Jellnek (VSCCA) and a Mr. Pelley (VSCCA). Titled
and road register in Massachusetts and used on the street. this car is a
race car that incorporates 100S features. a non-overdrive transmission
with different rear ends and 100M features H6 carbs. headers . ntake
manifold and camshaft. Originally delivered to Dusseldorf as a Bn1
number 157638 in it current state of development it has a BN2
transmission. rear axle. front end and brake components.
The car earned the “Triple Crown” in 2009 having successfully competed in
The New Jersey GP. the Pittsburgh GP and the Mount Equinox Hill Climb.
Competed in the Australian United States Healey Challenge at Watkins Glen
in 2005 and the Rolex Vintage Festival at LRP in 2006. The car has also run
at Pocono. and NHIS competing in 21 log book events during my
ownership.
The motor runs strong. rebuilt in 2007 by Peter Genovese's CARS (Custom
Automotive Racing Specialty) with the goal of longevity as well as
performance. It has a Moldex billet crankshaft; Dennis Welch aluminum full
racing head (hardened valve seats compatible with unleaded fuel). oil
pump. shaft and screen. super damper (harmonic balancer). pulley and
competition head gasket; Cam Techniques custom 100S grind cam shaft;
H6 SUs; a Mallory dual point ignition; Carrillo rods and JE pistons. A
lightweight alternator and gear reduction starter were fitted. All lines are
Aeroquip. A low pressure oil cutoff and warning light are incorporated
together with a remote spin on oil filter. The header is a period Derrington.
It has a stainless steel full exhaust. The valve cover is a period finned
aluminum piece. Fuel is supplied by an electric Facet pump with a separate
adjustable pressure gage. The aluminum fuel cell was made by Fuel Safe.
The transmission is a non-overdrive with a 3. 909 with Quaife limited slip
differential. The clutch and lightened flywheel are BJ8.
The drums. shoes and front end are BN2 with custom Carbotech brake
linings and drilled drums up front. A Tilton adjustable dual master cylinder
is used. Speeder bleeders are used on all wheel cylinders.
The front suspension incorporates Dennis Welch competition dampers
(shocks). springs and adjustable sway bar.
A four point custom roll bar braced fore and aft and incorporating a
separate harness bar is installed. A period racing seat and Schrroth Pro
Hans six-point seat belt is fitted. A Halon fire system extends to the engine
and boot ( trunk)areas as well as the driver area . The battery is located in
the trunk in a custom fabricated aluminum case. A 12-gallon Fuel Safe fuel
is installed. Battery cutoff and towing points front and rear are clearly
marked as required by racing rules.
A hard-wired AMB transponder is fitted for timing and scoring purposes as
required by certain racing organizations.

The car is eye caching and has appeared in several racing mags and
promotions over the years. Painted Ferrari Fly Yellow with maroon racing
stripes it stands out on track or street. The cockpit is spartan with full
period instruments. peedo. tach. oil and water temperature. oil pressure
and push button start. An unrestored passenger seat is included but not
fitted to accommodate the Halon system.
The car is fitted with a pair of Brookland wind screens. Lemans quick fill
cap that was functional but for safety purposes is ornamental now. br>louvered Lemans style hood. period finned aluminum valve cover. Carreo
steering wheel. period bullet mirrors and a modern SPA convex center
mirror.
Underside is excellent condition as well as body.

The car has been professionally maintained. All receipts on my watch
