VW Splitscreen Splitty Canadiana Rare Camper Van 1963 & Eriba Puck Caravan for sale

Current customer rating: current rating for this car(2.5) based on 429 votes

Due to a change in family circumstances it has now come time to allow someone else to have the fun times that we have had over the past six years with this wonderful camper and small caravan.   All ready to go off into the sun!

The camper has a rare wooden interior (thought to be the last know example) know as a Canadiana and has featured in David Eccles Books VW Camper- The Inside Story. first and second editions.   The lightweight 1960's Eriba Puck caravan underwent a total restoration in 2008 being taken back to the tubular frame and had a new marine ply floor. new seals. new pop top and new headliner etc.

The camper is in very good condition. mainly original and rust free.   CSP disc brakes have been fitted for safety to tow the caravan. dual split braking system. a full flow oil system with oil filter and oil cooler with fan. electronic ignition. twin Webber carb. full breather system. four into one stainless steel exhaust. rev counter. oil pressure and oil temperature gauges.   Fully serviced and well looked after.

Rather unusually the heater works and makes the van all toasty whilst demisting the screen due to the fact it has a seperate fan which draws air from the back.   Genuine Westfalia tow bar with split charge relay system so battery can be charged in caravan whilst driving.   The table drops down to allow the bed to be made up from the rear seat which comfortably sleeps two adults.   There are a variety of cupboards including a wardrobe with mirror.   There is a wad of paperwork and history for the van which shows the engine was replaced about 15. 00 miles ago.

The Eriba Puck obvioulsy compliments the camper and again comfortably sleeps two adults. it has a two burner hob. sink. various cupboards. it has a 12 volt to 240 volt convertor (1000 watt) which will run a hairdyer!

Although I believe the camper and caravan belong together I may consider selling separately.

Please only get in contact if you are genuinely interested and have the means to purchase. in which case I'm happy to chat over the phone or better still pop round and we can chat and view over a cup of tea.   :-)    Viewing is stongly recommended near Norwich in Norfolk.   Sold as seen in photos.

Hello Sir/Madam,

I'm very interested in this T1.
Is it still available ?
Also is it from German or Brazilian origin, and do you have the paperwork to prove it ?

Thanks already,
Elwan De Putter

Dear Sir/Madam,

Firstly, what a wonderful "Splitty and caravan" you have.

My apologies for contacting you without being in a position to purchase your wonderful outfit and we thank you for your time in advance.

I am contacting you on behalf of my next door neighbour who has a T2 camper. He has placed an order for a small lightweight caravan (500Kgs). Since this he has spoken to many people who have said that there is noway you can tow with a T2, some have suggested that no way without changing the engine to produce 100 bhp.

He is currently considering cancelling his order and loosing the deposit.

Having seen your advert it has inspired him to think a little different and he would really appreciate it if he could have a chat with you regarding your valuable experience and knowledge. Your time to speak to him would really be of value and very much appreciated. He is more than willing to call you if you have a convenient number and appropriate time. He is not one for computers/ email, hence my initial contact.

My neighbours details are: Dan Jeavons, 01562 60658 or 01562 754530

Again Thank you for you time.

Kindest Regards Colin.
