Volkswagen : Beetle - Classic Convertible

Description: This car is a well maintained. unrestored convertible that is a blast to drive and attracts a crowd where ever it goes.  
Reason for selling: I own a large collection of cars but lifestyle changes dictate my selling off many of them.
Mechanical: I know next to nothing about bugs except that I love the way they look and drive. This car has a 1200 engine that starts runs and drives as it should. it steers well and stops well.
Body: The body is decent. the paint is very good. over the years no doubt it has seen some repairs but it shows nicely now. with no dents or scratches. The bumpers are a bit tarnished but overall the chrome is good. The front windshield has a crack but I will replace it at my cost before the cars goes to its new owner.
Interior: The interior has been redone at some point in grey cloth and is in good condition. the carpet is good and the dash looks original with no modifications. The worst part of the whole car is the headliner which is loose and has some holes. I will include a set of new reproduction white seat covers for this car so that if you want the vinyl material for the seats you have it. I was going to change this car to a white top and interior. I bought the parts but never got around to installing them.
Top: The top is showing some age but has a year or two left. It is shrinking on the sides and starting to pull at the back window. Included with the car will be a new white convertible top for the future when it does need replacing. As it is now it folds nicely. and is easy to lift.  
Overall: I love this little car but I have two convertibles in my collection and only space for one. I'm going to keep the oldest convertible (1957) and let someone else have fun with this one. Its a great looking car that has had a charmed life and although I wouldn't consider it restored I would say it is in much better than average condition. So if your looking for a popular classic that won't cost more than your house and is inexpensive to drive and maintain then this may be the car for you.  
Location: The car is located just outside of Salmon Arm. British Columbia. about 3 hours from the US border. If you are a buyer from outside of Canada I can help with importation as I am familiar with US and some overseas procedures for importation. I can in many cases help arrange a shipper. but this is time consuming so I will only try to get a quote for the winning bidder.  
Payment: Cash in person or bank to bank wire transfer is acceptable. Payment must be received within 7 days of the close of the auction NO EXCEPTIONS. I can store the car at no charge for several months if needed.  
 Scammers: I've heard it all don't waste my time.

I have added pictures of the floor pan and engine. they were taken with my cell phone so they are not the best and I don't have a hoist. Hope it helps.
