Seller's notes: A stunning and very rare 1940 ford truck. Complete except seat and bonnet hinges. Chassis is in incredible condition and needs no welding what so ever.Only two spots of rust that need attention are nearside rear corner of the cab, about 6 inches and the same on the near side passanger foot well.I have all the documents to registar this in the UK and all duties have been paid.This would make a fantastic car transporter or a unique catering trailer, which is what we bought it for; but after 2 years we still havnt got round to it and so we are going to sell it.It still has the original flat head V8 engine. When the truck was shipped the water was drained out of the motor and duck oil was poured down the plug hole to keep it in good condition.Included in the sale are workshop manuals and a big selection of AF sockets and spanners.All the wheels have been removed from the truck and refitted so no problems with rusted on wheel nuts.This will be amazing when it is finished.

For sale is my 1940 ford flathead V8 regular truck for restoration.

This truck is very very very original. even down to the radio and speaker.

The truck was used on a farm in South Dakota during the sugar beet harvest and the stored under cover for the rest of the year. hence its remarkable condition and originality

There are only two very small areas of rust. one rear quarter of the cab measuring approx.  6 inches square and the other is about the same size in the passenger side foot well. The rest of the truck is as solid as the day it was built. If you look carefully you can still see the original black chassis paint on parts of the chassis.

The bench seat and bonnet hinges are not with the truck.

It has a clean title and all duties have been paid. but it has not been registered in the UK. This will need to be done by the new owner and is a very simple process.

The truck is both MOT and tax exempt when restored

The truck was ordered with the very rare deluxe grill.

The truck has the two speed shift rear axle

A new 6 volt generator also comes with the truck.

The truck comes with various workshop manuals covering all the things you would need to restore. rebuild. maintain and run it. Also a large selection of AF tools inc sockets and spanners and the tools to remove the rear duel wheels.

We bought the truck to convert it into a catering trailer to do festivals and classic car shows. but after two years we still have not started on it so it is now up for sale for you to complete. one of the photos shows one that was converted into a car transporter. That just looks amazing.
