Datsun 280C 330 Saloon Manual - ONLY 4 REGISTERED IN THE UK !!! for sale
Current customer rating: (446 votes) based on
I purchased this car in a rusted way. the car was just plagued with rust. the door bottoms. sills. boot and it was restored with the intention of me keeping this for many years but due to unforeseen circumstances. I have decided to sell this car.
it has had a lot of work done to it. especially welding with new sheeting welded to the car. It was stripped to bare metal. primed and then painted to a lovely pristine finish. Body wise the car is 100% original. nothing has been modified as I wanted to keep this is original as possible. It has the original wheel caps.
the dashboard was cracked. which was repaired and then wrapped in Rexene to give it a new fresh look. The radio and cassette were in good working condition but I replaced the radio with a Pioneer cd unit and with a Pioneer iPod module that enables to connect an iPhone. nbsp;iPad or iPod. The rear parcel shelf was also wrapped in acoustic material and fitted with new Pioneer speakers (front and Rear) that are just superb. No expense was spared from my end to bring the car back to glory.
All electrics work as they should. The wiring. connectors and plugs were all cleaned with contact cleaner to remove any dirt. same as the wiring in the engine bay. All fuses were replaced and the contacts were cleaned there too. A new Battery. Drive belts were installed as the old belts were cracked.
The exhaust was welded (leak Proof) and the under side was all undersealed. every nook and crook was done. The door cards were removed and the reverse side of the doors were undersealed too and new plastic sheeting was put on the doors as a barrier from rain and damp. the door bottoms were sprayed with a special paint that feels like rubber but prevents any rust coming in. A lot of hours were spent on the car.
For its mot. it just required new track rod ends which were easily obtained and passed. All chrome work were cleaned and the chrome bumpers were roomed. cleaned and sprayed with rust protector. the only chrome that I don't have is the O/S for the windscreen. I have the top and N/S but was trying to locate a piece that will fit and look good. The windscreen was bonded with Tiger Seal and there is no leaks. The grill vent on the firewall where the wiper arms sit was removed and throughly cleaned and again sprayed with a waterproof rust prevent solution. I have tried my upmost best to protect it as much as I could have. the wing mirrors were polished along with the bumpers and brought them back to former glory.
The car comes with old MOT's that verify the milage and other information about the car too. Its a 3 owner car. I am including a great Pioneer CD Head unit in the auction too along with these fantastic expensive speakers
The boot has a thick rubber material bonded to the metal which provides a long lasting base which was also undersealed. Its strong and solid. The pictures just don't do the car any justice. Upon driving the car. I have had so much interest and its a real head turner and have been told its taken many folk down the memory lane ! a lot of pictures have been taken and uploaded on to flicker too. nbsp;which was done without my consent but never mind. its done.
Being extremely possessive of the car. Its parked in a secure lock up.
The drive is good. not knock or bumps and I enjoy driving the car. The gears move as they should without any issues. Keeping in mind. its got a manual choke which has to be pulled open when cold starting and should be closed as soon as the car warms up. The MPG is not bad giving about 33 MPG and takes about £87 for a full tank. ]
All filters were replaced when serviced and so was the oil. This was done about 300 miles ago. I am driving this about once or twice a week. Insurance is cheap under classic insurance.
I cannot fault my efforts in bringing this back to life. There maybe parts that I have missed in mentioning but again. looking. sitting and driving the car says it all.
I have advertised this car else where so I reserve the right to remove before the auction ends.
I would appreciate serious bidders only as my time is too valuable as I am a full time carer for my ill mother so please. nbsp;don't waste my time. You are bidding to buy and drive. not to haggle or moan and grown keeping in mind its a 35 years old car.
a deposit to be paid upon the end of the auction. £350. 00 via pay pal please. No tyre kickers or body feelers please.
Finally I would like to add that I have set a reserve on the car that I would like to get. However I am open to serious offers keeping in mind the expected value of a classic restored Datsun. I will not let this sell for pennies so if its not reached its expected reserve and if i don't get any decent offers then I will just keep the car.
If you have any questions then please don't hesitate to ask and the car is currently stored in the North and will be brought back to the south shorty. Will be advised. Pick Up Only
Happy Bidding and Good Luck.
