1985 Trihawk Excellent Condition!

For your consideration is a rare 1985 Trihawk.   Own a piece of Southern California history.   Less than 100  Trihawks were built in Dana Point in the early 1980s before Harley Davidson bought the company and later scrapped the entire line.  

Trihawks corner like they are on rails and this one is no exception. a blast to drive.   Beware that Trihawks always draw a crowd. so be prepared for the attention.

Includes original owners manual and parts manual. Interior is in excellent shape. as is the convertible top. Also includes the side curtains which are in very good condition.

Frame off restoration of this 1985 Trihawk. one of the last ones produced by Trihawk Motors.   Restoration included:
1. New tires2. Powder coated wheels3. New windshield4. All engine cooling shrouds removed and powder coated
5. Intake manifold and valve covers silver powder coated
6. New timing belts7. New oil cooler and carb to manifold gasket8. New front stainless steel bumper9. Rewired10. Paint taken down to gel coat and repainted to original yellow.   Since it was painted 3 or 4 minor dings have occurred
11. Body removed. cleaned and undercoated12. New Sony stereo with iPod/iPhone interface and speakers13. Sound proofing throughout14. New carpet
15. New headlight cans and lamps16. Seats disassembled and seat frames powder coated.  Upholstery shop reassembled the seats
17. Driver and passenger side interior trim reupholstered
18. New gas tank fill hose 19.  All hoses and vent lines are new20.  New trunk lid Trihawk stamped map pouch21. New clutch cable22. New emergency brake handle
23. New exhaust system. including chrome heat shields

Runs great but could benefit from having the carb tuned as it runs rich.   Also. the buyer should be aware of the following:

1. One has to shift smoothly to 2nd or 3rd. otherwise one will encounter a slight grinding of the gears.  I usually pause slightly between shifts and this helps2. The speedometer stopped working shortly after I completed the restoration and I've not taken the time to investigate it3. The new exhaust system is straight pipes without mufflers. it is pretty loud. though I've not received any complaints from my neighbors.
4. Latches for the trunk lid are missing
5. There are a few dings in the paint
