History:

This is an original British TR6. not an import. i. e. it is the 150bhp model. not the 125bhp. It had a complete body off and engine rebuild in 1990. carried out by the Northern TR Centre. and has done approx 10000 miles since. I have a photo of the engine at this time. I have owned the car since 2009 and there was one other owner between myself and the owner of the car when it was restored - apparently those two gentlemen remain friends. Since purchasing the car I have kept it garaged. under a dust-cover. with occasional short runs to make sure that everything is working as it should - a habit which was also followed by that car's previous owner.

A tonneau cover is supplied in addition to the soft-top and the dust-cover can be included as well.

The car is fully weather sealed underneath. something I make a point of. having once worked in a classic-car body-shop.

This is a very reluctant sale but the auction is starting at a price for a quick sale - if you've always wanted a TR6 (as I did) then you could be getting yourself a real bargain here if there are few bidders - I am not placing a reserve on this.

Recent Work:

Since owning it I have done/spent the following. (Just to mention a few)

(1) The fly-wheel (and associated ring-gear) has been replaced with new components by Remington.

(2) The fuel injectors have been replaced.

(3) An electronic starter motor has been fitted.

(4) The oil filter mount has been changed to a more standard fitting. as supplied by the Triumph Sports Six Club.

(6) New Battery this month.

The Bad:

This car is not concourse condition and I am listing faults as I see them so as not to waste anyone's time.

(1) There is a paint chip on the nose of the car and one on the edge of the driver's door.

(2) The lock on the driver's door can be a bit 'iffy'. i. e. it does not always lock.

I will happily answer any questions about the car and am more than happy to arrange viewings (in York) for interested parties.
