Late 1971 model VW 1300. K-reg

It had a restoration job by the previous owner 3 years ago: floorpans. heater channels. front and rear valance all been replaced.

New wings. Professionally repainted in gulf blue(blue on the v5 too)

Had new suspension and brake components. brake lines. fuel line. nbsp;gearbox mounts. window rubbers. door seals.

Seat covers are pretty good apart from the drivers seat that has 2 rips.

Headliner is ok but its coming away at the pillars.

It has a 2" narrowed adjustable front beam from coolair vw.

Disc brakes on the front and CB performance dropped spindles.

Original vw-porsche 914 Pedrini alloys(set of 5) wrapped in new tyres.

It has a 1900cc vw type4 engine(Joe Cali style upright conversion) installed.

Engine spec: Longblock built at RNJ motorsport.

Keith Black pistons. Weber IDF carburettors. ported and polished heads. cr-mo pushrods. scat cam followers. Web 163 camshaft.

Balanced crank assembly. match weight conrods.

Conversion flywheel allows the engine to fit the gearbox without modifications.

Kennedy stage 1 clutch assembly. Stainless steel exhaust box from LA performance. Electric fuel pump.

Engine has about 3500 Miles since rebuild.

New dynamo and cooling fan.

It needs the surrounding tinware to be fabricated to seal the engine compartment completely. Its the only job I haven`t got around doing.

It runs very cool and not working very hard in an 800kg car. it has vented decklid that also helps keep it cool.

However. it really needs finishing in order to use it during long hot summer trips. (for more info on type4 conversions search for NextGen)

It is currently putting out 95hp and 99lbft torque(got the printout). Nothing mental.

Bodywork has some minor blemishes. the 2 worst ones are the door corner and the front valance has a 20p sized hole(see photos)

Its a very much enjoyable car driving around town(not ridiculously low). has lots of torque at low rpms and also able to rev safely up to about 6000rpms(I never dared going over 5600).

Tax exempt. Fresh bill of MOT.

I`m moving house next month and starting another Msc course so sadly I won`t have time and money to spend on this car in the next 2years and I don`t want it to just sit unused.

Message me to arrange viewing.

£5500
