1968 OLDSMOBILE CUTLESS SUPREME for sale

  1968 OLDSMOBILE CUTLESS SUPREME 5. 7L  V8 Tax exempt; UK regestered with all import papers and documnets   comes with 2 sets of original keys . door pillar less very rare as I have searched the net here and in the US to find a 4 door and could not I brought this car as an unfinished project. the previous owner had paid £4000 for paint job and spent an additional £6000 on car some of the bits he brought were; Front seat covered in leather . All new ball joints and rubbers shocks. springs. door rubbers seals. boot rubbers. under bonnet heat shield / plus for the engine new rings. mains big ends new camshaft new oil pump. new timing gear sprockets and chain and new fuel pump. new fuel tank sender and straps new dizzy cap plugs leads ect with 4 to 1 headers.

I got the car in kit form from where I striped the chassis from body cleaned and painted the underside of car to match car. I had the chassis and all suspension sand blasted then etched primed zinc galvanized coated then the chassis was painted then a BITUMASTIC rubber under seal spray underbody coating protection paint applied. Fitted all new ball joint and rubbers. fitted new shocks and springs which are all painted as well as the axle I re-built the engine with all new components and had the heads re- built for unleaded petrol.

This car has original interior bar having front seat re-covered in leather. I have the original steel wheels with it with chrome trim it has 5 spoke wheels on it. I also have a set of 20 inch rear 18 front knock off wire wheels see picture I also have a lot of chrome trim that I have not put on that goes around the body and arches.

I have had the vinyl roof repaired at the back see picture vinyl will need cleaning to make match

This car is taxed and mot and on the road

The car also has headers and side exit with cherry bomb silencers

This car is solid all over only welding to repair car on rear n/s rear quarter as was damaged

This 99% finished

 

Bad points. I'm putting in these to be as honest as I can.

Car has a few tinny scratch and paint chips that need touching up. but not that noticeable.

Front and rear window I have noticed are  leaking and need re bonding as a result of this I have left original carpets out so as not to get wet.

2 Window winders need new clips to hold the handles on

Nearside head light has blown last week.

The previous owner lost the gear box oil dipstick so unable to check but has new oil in it. but think it will need more . as occasionally when you slow down you have to rev it to get it to drive  

I have been as honest as I can about this listing viewing welcome. I'm selling this due to moving and cutting down on my car collection but as stated the cars taxed mot and on the road I have lots of parts and bits and bobs (4 barrel carb) to go with the car also a full photo collection of the build
