Over 10k invested in the engine alone.   This is a Bad Ass car!  400 cubic inch motor with tons of upgrades.   Best of all. it has a fourth gear (overdrive) added so you can cruise.   It helps a lot with gas mileage as well.   You get a total beast of a hot rod. but you can still cruise on the highway.   If it had big slicks on the back. I really think it would pop wheelies.   I highly encourage anyone interested to come see and drive this car.   If you can pull into the gas station without people coming up to talk about the car I'll give it to you.   When driving this car I get countless thumbs up. horns honking. people yelling out. etc.   It sounds like a monster truck or top fuel dragster. so people hear it before they see it.   It has everyone's attention before you even turn the corner and they are waiting to see what it is.   Once they see the convertible. they just stare. then come talk to you about how awesome it is.   If you are anti-social or don't like attention. do not buy this car.   I've had a 67 and 68 Mustang convertible. 68 Camaro built. and a couple other classics. but this one gets. by far. much more attention.

No expenses were spared when building this engine.   Edlebrock highrise intake. Holly four barrel carb. bored sixty over. high lift cam. high performance heavy springs and valves. reworked head. built turbo 400 transmission with shift kit. oversized pan. external transmission cooler. new ball joints. tie rod ends. idler arm. master cylinder. new brakes. external high capacity oil filter relocated. oil cooler/sump system. posi-traction 4. 11 rear end. four link suspension. air shocks and much more I'm sure I'm forgetting.

Brand new vinyl top.   Brand new black gator skin interior. door panels. dash. carpet.   B&M shifter relocated to the floor.   SS Cragars. 12x15" fat tires on the rear and 8. 5x15 fronts.   I also have the original rally wheels (missing 1) with brand new tires I may be able to throw in if the bid goes high enough.   The paint is in great condition.   9 out of 10 with a few minor imperfections.   It has all the proper GTO emblems in the right places including on the interior door panels.   Rust free body with one small rust area in front of the drivers rear tire.   All the body panels are straight with no dents.   The frame is solid with only a couple rusty areas.   It has been reinforced by the previous owner in a few places because he was planning to make a drag car out of it and it has tremendous torque which can twist the frame on convertibles.   Don't worry. he never made it to the drag strip.   The gas gauge isn't working right now. but I should have that fixed before it sells.   All lights work as they should including turn signals. interior light. even the little pontiac lights on the rear quarter panels.   Feel free to ask any questions and I will respond asap.    The car may be sold locally as well. so I reserve the right to end this auction anytime.   I will accept bank wire transfer as payment.   Again. I highly encourage anyone able to come see this car in person and make a cash offer.   Drive it.   You will be grinning ear to ear when you get out of it.   I still do every time.   Good luck bidding.

Well. I took a few more pictures. but it won't let me add anymore because I've reached the limit of 24.   Contact me with your email address if you want to see more.   I took a close up of the left rear wheel well to show the minor damage there.   If you look closely at the current pics you can see it.   I also want to add that I don't have the face plate for the radio.   It is all hooked up and there are four speakers. but I didn't get the face plate from the previous owner.   There are also rca's running to the trunk as it was wired for an amp in the trunk.   Oh yea. I took pics of the trunk also that I can email you.   It has the black rubberized undercoating throughout.   I ordered an "oem" trunk mat off ebay. but when it arrived it was way too small so I returned it.   I'm really trying to add every imperfection I can think of.   The windows all go up and down. but the left rear is a little difficult and they could all use some fine tweaking to line them up perfectly.   I think the drivers door needs that felt lined track piece because it wiggles a little.   The doors and fenders could be aligned a little better too.   As I said. this isn't a show car and it's not perfect.   It's a driver that shows signs of driving it.   The top has two smalls spots about the size of a dime where sap got on it when it was parked under the wrong tree and it looks a little warn in those spots because I scrubbed it.   They did a good job painting it. and the outside looks nice. but for some reason they didn't paint under the hood.   It's still the previous orange color.    Oh. and I put a new sending unit in the gas tank thinking that would fix the gas gauge. but it didn't.   Not sure what else to do other than buy a new gauge.   The speedometer works. but isn't very accurate. probably because of the upgraded transmission and gears.   I saw the entire gauge cluster on ebay for $50 and if I were keeping it I would probably just change the whole thing.   Looks like just a couple screws.   The one I saw had a tach in place of the clock. which would be cool.   The temp. oil pressure. and volt meter all work on the aftermarket gauges in the middle.   I also installed a new cigarette lighter and the chrome ring that goes around it yesterday.   It looks nice.   If you look close in the dash pics. there was an empty hole there. but now its right.   I also have a pic of that if you want me to email it.   If you keep the Cragars on it you will needs tires soon. but the other set of Pontica wheels that came off it have almost new tires and will be included in the sale.   There is a small crack on the bottom corner of the windshield that has been there for years and doesn't spread or interfere with your vision.   I have the passenger seat belts. but they aren't installed.   Since it's older than 69 you don't have to have them. but they are there if you want to put them in.   I sprayed most of the bottom of the car with the black rubberized undercoating and it looks great.   I don't have a lift (wish I did) to take good pics of it. but I took a couple laying underneath that I can sent you.   I drove the car a couple hundred miles this week and it ran perfectly on the highway and in town.   Again. it's not perfect. but whoever gets this car is going to love it.   Please feel free to email me with any other questions.   Good luck bidding.

VIDEOS ADDED!

OK. I finally got a chance to take a couple videos.   I don't know how to add a link so I am going to copy and paste the youtube link here.   You will have to copy and paste each link back into youtube.   One video is of the engine starting right up as it does every time.   The other is of the car driving.   Watch until the end because I do a little burn out and you can hear how great the engine sounds.    When I first pull up and stop. I planned to rev the engine. but still had it in drive so the car jumps a little and I look stupid.   But then I finally put it in neutral and barely revved it a couple times.   Wish I would've really revved it up so you can hear the power. but oh well.   The burn out is a little baby one also.   As you can see. I don't do a lot of burn outs.   LOL  I didn't even push the gas half way when I did that one.   Anyway. I hope the videos help.   Good luck!
