If you look up the history of the 1962 Pontiac Grand Prix. 2-door hardtop. you will find that the Grand Prix was at the top of the line for 1962 and sported beautiful sculptured lines with a sporty and luxurious interior. DeLorean's leadership seems to be evident in this model.   The Pontiac Grand Prix was introduced in 1962 as a single hardtop model. based on the Catalina.   The interior featured Morrokide-covered bucket seats. a console. floor shift. tachometer. and rear speaker.   There were only 16 cars built with the 421 Super Duty engine with 370 “rated” hp. although rumored to be much more!  (Only one of these has been found to exist yet today).  

The seller of this beautiful 1962 Pontiac Grand Prix “Super Duty clone” has gone through great trouble and expense to upgrade this car to the famed Super Duty specifications with a 455 462 c. i. Custom Pontiac Engine.   The ORIGINAL Power Train removed and replaced with 455 dual quad. all new pistons. brgs. etc.   Medium Cam. as close to super duty clone as possible.   Rebuilt Turbo 400 Trans with Stall converter. 3:90 Posi Rear. all new springs. ball joints. exhaust. chrome redone to show quality. have Pontiac Historical records. Total Original Power Train comes with car.

Hagerty has indicated that if this were a true 1962 Pontiac Grand Prix Super Duty the average value would be $105. 30. 00.   You can see why the seller was so excited to create a “Super Duty Clone” with this beautiful 1962 Pontiac Grand Prix.    Lucky for the new owner the reserve is so low that everybody can bid to win! 

The seller of this gorgeous car tells us that the car was painted with the original color of Kimberly Blue and has the original Cameo Ivory on the top.   The seller believes the car to be a low miles car because of the condition of the car.   The odometer reads 58. 00 but the seller has indicated that the speedometer does not work and believes that it may need a compatible gear in transmission or drive gear.    Passenger window works slow.
