Southern Cal No Rust, Rebuilt eng/clutch/brakes, Very well kept family surf bus

Well kept VW Vanagon GL. no accidents. no rust. in very good condition and partially restored.   Runs and drives excellent.   I am the second owner. has been in So California it's entire life . no snow. almost no rain.   Local German/VW shop did full engine/clutch rebuild (have all receipts).   Fast. smooth and no problem in city or freeway. runs cool.   Easily accelerates long hills.   Has well kept interior. front captains seats and both rear bench seats in good cond. . clean and no rips.   Good headliner. carpet in good condition.   Rear folds into full/double bed. has curtains and a nice awning with screens - originally $1000.   We tried to get everything ready for a few trips coming up in March but had unforeseen life things happen to us and unfortunately now have to sell the Vanagon.   If things change for the better I will remove the ad. would rather keep it.   
   
Recent restorations:  
Rebuilt engine
New clutch
New radiator. lines. hoses. etc.
New steering pump and steering rack
New tie rods/ends
Brakes were flushed. new front brake pads installed & rotors turned
New GoWesty rear hatch struts. hatch stays up and easily goes up and down
Tires: Before sale ends I will have a set of new tires put on. current ones are old

Engine:   Has the more reliable and better touring water boxer engine (vs. air). a 1. 9L professionally rebuilt with recommended 2. 1L upgrades (using 2. 1L crankshaft adds more hosepower).   Was rebuilt Oct 2013. warranty until 10/2014. by JCS Volks/Orange County Imports.   Runs excellent. like new.    

Interior: Well kept and in good condition.   Front and rear seats all solid and look nice. no tears. sit well. all seat belts there and in good condition.   Carpets look good. some light stains here and there but overall good.   Rear seat folds into double/full bed. rear cushion in good condition.   Privacy curtains all around except back window (does have curtain rod. only needs new curtains on back window).   The odometer stopped working shortly after the rebuild. likely needs a new cable.  
The interior door lights and slider lights work well.   Headliner is in excellent condition.  

A/C: Was upgraded with overhead AC/fan system when Vanagon was new at dealer.   All works well. controls & blower work. however I had the A/C compressor removed when engine rebuilt.   If I had known i was selling it I would have kept it in tact.   Lines are ready in engine bay if new owner wants to enable A/C.   A/C compressor and bracket included. need to be installed. then lines cleared and system recharged. which usually runs under $100.

Paint: Older paint but looks good after a wax.   Has some scratches and areas more faded than others - not real noticeable.   Had front repainted. prior it had bad road rash above grill.  

Stereo: Has a stereo/CD however I have lost the face plate so it cannot be operated.   The new owner could install new stereo or find a faceplate that fits the current system.   Has stock speakers in door and in back.  

Included with sale of Vanagon:

- Receipts for all work
- AC Compressor and bracket
- Very nice A&E Trans Awn 2000 awning with room screens. fits on well with surf rack removed.  
I will remove surf rack and install the awning unless new owner wants the surf racks.
