1974 VOLKSWAGEN-WOODY  (VIN 1542510030) 1940 Ford front. This was a J. C. Whitney conversion offered in the 1970's.  The selling dealer installed this very rare option in 1974 to the original buyer. and is a very rare survivor. Not many were made. and even fewer survived. and they are a true and rare collectable today.  This car is an excellent solid car with  solid original floors. solid jack points. and an all steel body. Recent work includes recent disc brake conversion (parts alone $1253) with new wheels and new.  larger tires that make for a spectacular ride A Hurst shifter makes for a real easy shift pattern and is a pleasure to drive.  Original owners manual in excellent condition. with the original plastic owners ID card along with the maintenance requirements and warranty books.  
This is   the best riding Volkswagen Convertible of this period.  In addition to being roadworthy. it is great fun to drive. easy to shift. handles and performs absolutely terrific!  A new top. headliner. pads. and  cables(from JBug. California. special order) have just been installed and really look handsome.  Paint is beautiful. and the interior is excellent original too.  The trunk area has been tastefully carpeted too.  Over $12. 00 was spent on these items to date. This is the best looking. and definitely the best driving Volkswagen Convertible you will  find!  IT IS DEFINITELY A RARE MODERN-DAY COLLECTABLE.  Great fun to drive. very reliable. and makes people of all ages smile. Gets a lot of attention and interest.
