Here is an extremely nice Triumph TR-3 that runs and drives great. The engine runs quiet. it shifts correctly and tracks straight. The brakes are good and it has a nice set of Dunlop radials with Factory Spoke Wheels. Also included are an Owner's Manual. Owner's Journal. Tool Kit & Spare Tire. The car has both a Tonneau Cover and a Convertible Top.
The car was restored about 10 years ago and has been sitting in a heated garage ever since. The 80 year old owner passed away soon after the restoration and the family could not bear to part with it until now. He left us a journal with the dates of all the work that was done to it. We went over the entire car. replaced the gas. got it running and installed a new the master cylinder for the brakes and a slave cylinder for the clutch. The exhaust system is stainless steel and was replace during the restoration.
The car is 100% drivable and will take you anywhere you want to go.
The interior is in very good condition with hardly any signs of wear. The fabrics are in great condition; they were all redone 10 years ago and have had very little use since then. The tonneau cover has one hole the size of a dime and the top (although in otherwise good condition) does have a patch on the side (courtesy of a mouse). (See Pictures)
The body is straight. the chrome is all good. and the paint shines well. The floor panels. trunk. underside all are rust free. Other than a couple very minor dings and some checking paint there's nothing negative to say about it. Any imperfections are shown in the photos. (See Pictures)
Included is a poster board of the restoration. sales brochure and original invoice for the car.
The car is very presentable to drive and show as it is or do a few cosmetics and you'll have a real show stopper!
Over all. this rare car is a great example of a 1961 Triumph TR-3. It's a real sports car in the British tradition. You are more than welcome to come and see it in person.
