1970 Manx

You are viewing an original Manx.   1970 was the last year for the Manx.   This little gem is set up to drive street and off road and has had major components gone through.   Runs strong and needs nothing.   Very cool ride for the Manx enthusiast with special features for durability.   I got the Manx on a trade with another car and have many receipts on the build. but don't know all the particulars other than it runs and drives as it should and really performs.

Please read on for more particulars of the car:

Body/Paint:  The body has had added textured gel coat for extra strength providing a very strong. thick and rigid body.   The body is in excellent condition with no cracks.   Paint is white in color.   The windshield frame is aluminum as original with original glass.   VW turn signals. Mustang tail lights and original chrome headlamps in very good condition.   A brand new floor pan was installed thick gauge.

Interior:  The interior is plan for off road use with padded racing buckets with 5 point harness.   Emergency brake. VW peddle assembly. VM gauges with VW gas tank. Turn signals. headlights. brights. horn. wipers and 4 ways all work properly.

Running Gear:  Not sure on the engine CC.   The engine has been completely gone through with all new internals.   High performance cam with a stinger exhaust system.   Runs strong and pulls hard.   The cam and exhaust produces a great sound.   The carb is a 2 barrel that is made in Spain.   The carb stamp is (32 35 BFAV 23A/DO).   Less than 100 miles since built.   The transmission has been gone through and shifts well with a vintage Hurst shifter.   New shifter linkage and clutch was installed.   Trans axle was also gone through.

Suspension:  Both front and rear suspension has been gone through with standard shocks on the front and adjustable coil overs on the rear.

Brakes:  Brakes have been gone through and are in excellent working order.

Wheels/Tires:  Centerline wheels.   Rear tires are 225/70 15 Cooper and the fronts are 205/60 15 Toyo with lots of rubber.

Summary:  Great little Manx for off road or street use offering a great value for the money.   Fun to drive with above average performance.   It was build to use and enjoy.    Don't miss out on this fun ride at a reasonable price.   I have over 70 pictures of the car so please contact me and provide your email address if you would like additional pictures.

Note:  This is not a Manx.   I was told it was and now aware that it is a Safi as far as I can tell after doing further research and talking to knowledgable people on the subject.   Still a very cool ride. just not a Manx.   Sorry for any confusion.
