Vehicle Details
1949 Packard super 8 touring sedan. 327 engine with manual transmission and overdrive.Paint, chrome, stainless, and glass are all nearly flawless, with no damage at all. No rust. Car is in very very nice condition.Drives at highway speeds nicely, handles great, shifts great, and good recently done brakes. Tires are radial and in nearly new condition. All 4 stock steel wheels, hubcaps, and beauty rings included. All lights work, with the exception of the right turn signal. Gauges all operate, except the gas gauge is a little off. The speedo works when it wants to, (about half the time). clock turns free, but doesn't work. Radio comes on and buzzes, and at 1 time did actually pick up a station. Interior is partly original, and partly era redone, with original headliner that is tough to find in this shape. back The dash, steering wheel are very nice! New spark plugs, and a new carburettor, although it still has a low accelerate hesitation. It just needs fine tuned, and a general tune up I think. It has PLENTY of power out on the road. Has an oil leak that isn't bad, but there. DOES NOT appear to be rear main seal, as the leaks are forward and on driver side of engine mainly. I have only inappropriate storage for this nice old classic, and it needs a better home with someone who can take care of it better and drive it more.
