1929 Studebaker Commander Eight

We call her "Rosie" due to her recent paint job, one repaint since new. First American production car with a straight 8-cyclinder motor.

The Studebaker FD8 was famous for setting multiple world-wide endurance records and one even crossed the Saharan desert - with no equipment failures - on a 2,000 mile journey throughout South Africa !

Rosie has lived her entire life (rust-free, always stored indoors) in California and has been featured multiple times in the Annual Rose Parade, (only 5 cars allowed in parade route, the rest are "floats"). 

100% original including the wood spoke rims / tires, all suspension parts, motor, Studebaker Dealer Tool Kit, Luggage Trunk, Pewter / Wood Entry Grab Bar, Entry Pull Ropes, Flip-up Foot Rest, Privacy Shades, Hand-blown Crystal Flower Vases (2), Clock above Rear View Mirror, Etc. Etc. Odometer reads 3,564 miles, don't know if these are original or if odometer has turned over more than once, it only has four (4) digits available.  Top was replaced a few years ago - in excellent shape.

Hagerty has stated that Rosie is in "Beyond Concourse Condition" and has her valued / insured at north of $ 60,000. NADA / JD Powers says LOW Retail is $ 25,000 with a High Retail Value of $ 42,000.

Rosie is 91-years old so there is no warranty expressed or implied - you want new - buy new.

Selling her due to loss of leased property - flat out don't have the room anymore and she needs to be stored properly - indoors !
