KEN PEARSON CAR CONSULTANT OFFERS THIS SPLENDID TRIUMPH 1800 ROADSTER ON BEHALF OF THE LOCAL OWNER WHO IS THE REGISTERED KEEPER ON THE V5C REGISTRATION CERTIFICATE.  REPUTEDLY RESTORED IN THE LATE 1980. THE CAR IS EXCELLENT TODAY.
SPECIFICATION
3 SEATER ROADSTER WITH DICKEY SEATS PANELLED IN ALUMINIUM WITH STEEL WINGS BY SALMONS ON THE TUBULAR CHASSIS FROM THE PRE-WAR STANDARD FLYING 14. INDEPENDENT FRONT SUSPENSION AND HYDRAULIC BRAKES. CHASSIS NUMBER TRD 846. PAINTED IN BLACK WITH RED LEATHER SEATS AND RED CARPETS.
1776cc  OHV 4 CYLINDER ENGINE. 65 BHP. 75 MPH (AUTOCAR). HARDENED VALVE SEATS AND NEW VALVE GUIDES. ELECTRONIC IGNITION4 SPEED MANUAL GEARBOX WITH COLUMN CHANGE. FLOOR CHANGE PARTS INCLUDED. 16" WHEELS SHOD WITH 185 HR x 16 RADIAL TYRES.
CONDITION GUIDE
THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION WAS SUPPLIED BY THE PRESENT OWNER WHO IS A MEMBER OF ROADSTER OWNERS CLUB. AND USING THE SALES DESCRIPTION OF THE 2002 SUPPLYING DEALER. WATERSIDE CLASSICS OF GLASGOW. BOUGHT FOR £13950 IN 2002 BY THE CURRENT OWNER. SALES INVOICE PRESENT. IT IS STATED ON THE DESCRIPTION TO HAVE BEEN SUBJECT TO A FULL RESTORATION IN THE LATE 1980. :
"BODY REMOVED. CHASSIS CHECKED AND REPAINTED TIMBER SILL MEMBERS REPLACED. BARE METAL REPAINT FROM THE ORIGINAL GREEN TO BLACK. RECORDED BY DVLA ON 14/04/1988. ENGINE OVERHAULED WITH THE REGROUND  CRANKSHAFT. NEW CON RODS AND BEARINGS". PISTONS WERE REPLACED IN CURRENT OWNERSHIP. "FOLLOWING THE WORK THE CAR WAS UNUSED UNTIL SOLD BY THE DEALER IN 2002".
THERE IS NO DOCUMENTATION TO SUPPORT THIS DESCRIPTION BY THE DEALER. BUT THE ROADSTER WAS FOUND TO BE IN SUPERB CONDITION BY THE OWNER AND REMAINS SO TODAY ALBEIT WITH SOME PATINATION OF USEAGE.
LAST MOT TEST EXPIRED IN JULY 2013. TAX DISC TO JAN 2014. CLEAR HPI REPORT CARRIED OUT BY ME.
WORK CARRIED OUT BY THE CURRENT OWNER. NO DOCUMENTATION.
UL HEAD OVERHAUL. SOLID HEAD GASKET. ELECTRONIC IGNITION FITTED.
RADIATOR RE-CORED.
INTERIOR WOODWORK REFURBISHED BY ROLLS-ROYCE SPECIALISTS. REFURBED STEERING WHEEL.
ON MY INSPECTION THE BODY SHOWS GOOD PANEL FIT AND SHUT LINES. THE PAINT AND CHROME ARE EXCELLENT. THE ENGINE BAY AND BOOT ARE VERY GOOD. THE CARPETS AND DEEP RED LEATHER SEATS ARE A FEATURE OF THE CAR. AS IS THE DASHBOARD. ALL EQUIPMENT AND GAUGES ARE WORKING CORRECTLYTHE HOOD IS GOOD AND WATERTIGHT.
THE ENGINE. USING A SU FUEL PUMP. STARTS INSTANTLY AND IS QUIET IN OPERATION. ALL TOOLS ARE PRESENT.
SUPPLIED WITH THE Car are:
PARTS TO CONVERT TO FLOOR GEAR CHANGE. ORIGINAL FACTORY WORKSHOP MANUAL AND INSTRUCTION BOOK. OWNERS CLUB TECHNICAL HANDBOOK.
THE ORIGINAL CHASSIS PLATE ON THE SCUTTLE. TRD 846. MATCHES THE V5C. I AM TOLD THAT THE ENGINE NUMBER TRD859 MATCHES THE V5C BUT IS NOT READILY ACCESSIBLE TO CONFIRM THIS.
IN SUMMARY. THIS IS A WELL RESTORED. CAREFULLY MAINTAINED CLASSIC THAT IS READY TO USE AND SHOW. THERE IS A GOOD OWNERS CLUB AND PARTS SUPPLY.

THE ODOMETER READING IS APPROX 15000 MILES WHICH SHOWS THE MILEAGE IN PRESENT OWNERSHIP THEREFORE SINCE RESTORATION
